Mr Monkey at the Comic Strip Centre

"I don't know which is best, the comics or the building!"

Mr Monkey looking down from the first floor of the centre Mr Monkey looking at comic strips

Mr Monkey looked down from the first floor, towards the staircase he'd just come up. The rocket is a replica of Tintin's moonrocket, and the big doorway to the left of the rocket is the entrance to a library where people can spend all day reading comic strips*. Mr Monkey stopped to examine the patterned glass in the ceiling of the first floor, one of Horta's many Art-Noveau features. Then Mr Monkey went off to study a collection of work by different Belgian artists, grouped by style and subject.

*unless they're being dragged around town by an eager young monkey, of course.
