Mr Monkey had a quick look at some old warehouses, probably built to store fish landed at Fulton Street, then scampered to the streets that were tidied up to form the Historic Seaport area. When he got to Water Street, he found that all the Seaport Museums buildings were shut, because it was Monday. It was quite pleasant walking along the cobbled street, but it wasn't quite the same as being able to tour museums giving the history of New York's seaport.
You can read about the museums and galleries that Mr Monkey didn't see at the South Street Seaport museum website.
