The ferry approached Manhattan, and, after a slight fight with a set of wooden pilings, headed into one of the big doorways in the side of the ferry terminal. Mr Monkey ran off the ferry and into the night. His trip had taken about 25 minutes each way, and didn't cost Mr Monkey a single cent*.
*Mostly because the ferry is free. Mr Monkey does seldom pays for anything, though.
