Before leaving Trafalgar Square, Mr Monkey inspected the fountains to see if they'd been decorated. They weren't, and he realised it'd be foolish to decorate a fountain with paper lanterns, what with all the lethal levels of dampness . Then he waited for a break in the speeding traffic before crossing the road and going back to his hotel.
