Mr Monkey took the tube to Pimlico to visit an exhibition of paintings by Turner, Whistler and Monet at the Tate Britain gallery. All three artists painted on the Thames and in Venice, so there's a lot of pictures of Venice and the Thames to compare with each other. Cameras aren't allowed in the gallery, so Mr Monkey is standing in front of Monet's The Thames below Westminster and Whistler's Nocturne: Blue and Silver - Chelsea from the exhibition catalogue.
There are details of the exhibition at the Tate website, with an interesting interactive map of the Thames in Flash, and a less interactive map of the Thames in HTML.
