Mr Monkey wanted to catch a streetcar* along Queen Street to Bathurst Street to get to Fort York (which is in the bottom left hand corner of the map of Toronto), but he found that the city of Toronto had done something to annoy the taxi drivers. To show their annoyance, they were all driving very slowly and blowing their horns, so Mr Monkey decided to walk instead.
*that's Canadian for "tram".
