Mr Monkey in Harrogate and Ripon

"This is a good place for carved wood"

Mr Monkey examining an misericord Mr Monkey beneath the organ loft

In the choir, Mr Monkey found this misericord, showing a gryphon and a rabbit, which possibly inspired Lewis Caroll (whose father worked at the cathedral). Mr Monkey was also intrigued by the wooden hand attached to the organ loft, which allowed the organist to make gestures at the choir without turning to look at them.
