On the way down Whitehall, Mr Monkey stopped for a moment to join all the other tourists taking photographs of the Life Guards defending Horse Guards Parade against malefactors. Then he scurried across Westminster Bridge and down onto the Thames Path, where he checked the Parliament was still there.
