Mr Monkey at RAF Hendon

"It's very light and airy in here"

Mr Monkey's attention was caught by a Vickers Vimy. The real one was used for the first non-stop flight across the Atlantic, but this is a replica. While the SE5a looks like a fighter now, just after the Great War, it was one of a whole batch bought by a Colonel Savage who used them for a sky-writing business. The Science Museum in London has one with the sky-writing equipment still attached.
