Mr Monkey strolled past the Crescent, which was built between 1784 and 1788, fairly obviously based on the Crescent in Bath. There used to be a big hotel in the Crescent, but it seems to be empty now. Mr Monkey enjoyed the arts and crafts in the 1894 Pump Room in front of the Crescent, but he avoided the water fountain next to it, because it was gushing water in a very uncontrolled manner.
