On the other side of the Albion Street bridge, Mr Monkey found the Haçienda building. Originally a warehouse, the building became a yacht showroom and then a rather famous club. It was demolished and flats have been built on the site. It's got important dates relating to the Haçienda club cut into metal panels on the ground floor. On the other side of the canal, Mr Monkey looked at the lower section of the new Albion Wharf building and easily spotted the old pillars that had been left in place. He wasn't really impressed by the Jurys Inn hotel, though.
You can read about the history of The Haçienda at the FAC51 The Haçienda website.
