Mr Monkey visits the John Rylands Library, 18th April

"There's quite a variation in the colour of the stone, isn't there?"

At the top of the stairs, Mr Monkey paused before going into the Reading Room. He gazed up at the Shawk Wall, which displays the variations in colours of the sandstone, from Shawk quarries in Cumberland, that most of the library is made from. He spotted green men not quite hiding on a radiator grill and on the doorway to the Reading Room.
