Mr Monkey scurried along to the Deansgate end of the cloister, where he found the Rylands Gallery. This was originally a conference room, but now it's a gallery highlighting the Library's collections. Mr Monkey examined the ornate carvings around the doors, then went in to study the fascinating exhibits within. These include a scrap of papyrus which is probably the earliest surviving fragment of a Christian Bible. The gallery has subdued lighting to preserve the exhibits and photography is prohibited
