Mr Monkey left the Quilt Museum and scampered along to Layerthorpe Bridge. He swarmed up onto the city walls and ran along to Bootham Bar on the other side of York. On the way he paused to admire York Minster from the west. The Minster was less admirable from the east, because the east front is still being worked on and is covered in green plastic (just as it was when Mr Monkey ascended the East Front in 2006).
