Next to the display of union banners Mr Monkey saw the conservation room, and he'd have been able to see the conservators conserving if there'd been any in. This is the only part of the galleries that has any natural light, and is reassuringly equipped with blue tubes to extract noxious fumes. Mr Monkey used a microscope outside the conservation room to examine the sort of unhelpful creatures that eat fabrics.
