Mr Monkey in Chester, 8th December

"I think this station has seen better days"

To get to Chester by train, Mr Monkey had to change at Crewe. He waited patiently for his connection, looking around the station. Crewe station was built in 1837 by the Grand Junction Railway, and was the first railway station in the world to have its own hotel. The hotel is still open, though Mr Monkey didn't stay long enough to check.

You can read about the facilities at Crewe Station at the National Rail website.
