While he was in the parlour, Mr Monkey heard a lot of shouting. Checking the windows he realised that the parlour had a good view of anyone crossing the hump-backed bridge beside the gateway. When he peeped under the lace curtain he found out that the noise was coming from the many canal tour boats that turn round just outside.
