Mr Monkey spends a day in Harrogate, 13th July

"I think it's a more of a gazebo than a pavilion"

Mr Monkey scurried down to Crescent Gardens and had a look at the small pavilion there. It was built in 1990 for the Gateshead Garden Festival and put up in Harrogate in 1992. The statue inside is Giovanni Maria Benzoni's Cupid and Psyche, made in 1861, lost in 1958 and rediscovered in 1989. Then Mr Monkey went to check that the Mercer Art Gallery was shut on Mondays.
