Mr Monkey scampered across the bridge. Halfway across he looked down into the Gorge to see the entrance to the Floating Harbour and the lights of Hotwells. He examined the bits holding the bridge together, because he'd been told that a crack had been found in one of the rods in April and it had been replaced by a thinner temporary strap. He was sure the bridge wasn't about fall down, but he noticed that everyone else had crossed and had to scamper to catch up.
