Mr Monkey decided that he'd visit the Exhibition Gallery before going into the main museum building. He saw an exhibition called American Beauty, made up of paintings, quilts, weathervanes, carved figures, and other items from the Museum's collection. He particularly liked William Prior's paintings of children. Prior wandered around New England painting pictures, offering a 75% reduction to anyone who wanted "a likeness without shade or shadow".
Photography isn't allowed inside the Exhibition Gallery, so in the second picture Mr Monkey is standing in front of scans from the museum guide book, Aspects of America.
