Mr Monkey visits the Chelsea Physic Gardens, 29th April

"I expected the compost yard to be a bit smelly, but it isn't"

Mr Monkey went past a Drimys winteri (Winter's bark), a source of vitamin C and beautiful grained wood from Chile and Argentina, to find his way to what used to be Society of Apothecaries boatyard when they had a barge for ceremonial occassions and plant collecting expeditions. Now the Chelsea Embankment is between the Garden and the Thames and the boatyard is full of compost bins and there's a garden on the shed roof.
