Mr Monkey goes from Quay to Sea, 14th December

"We're on our way back now"

When Mr Monkey spotted the Collingwood monument, with Tynemouth castle and priory behind it, he knew that the Coventina was going to turn around and go back up the river very soon. If the weather had been better the boat could have gone a little further towards the sea, but Mr Monkey was glad it did its u-turn in relatively smooth water. Mr Monkey inspected the red lighthouse of the Groyne as the Coventina began its journey back to Newcastle.
