Mr Monkey at the Kew Bridge Steam Museum, 2nd November

"It doesn't look like it would do anything, does it ?"

Mr Monkey scampered up some stairs to see the top of the Maudslay and Bull engines. Looking at the main beam of the Maudslay engine Mr Monkey noticed that one side of the beam is thicker than the other. In 1888 the beam cracked and the replacement section was thicker to prevent further accidents. Mr Monkey didn't think the top of the Bull engine looked that interesting, even though they've recently gone to a lot of effort to restore it.
