A little down the street Mr Monkey came to the Matlock Aquarium. When he scampered in to the building, which used to be the Matlock Bath Hydro, the first thing Mr Monkey saw was the Petrifying Well. Anything left in the Well is turned into stone. Mr Monkey looked at the Well for a bit and decided that it was really a stream, and that the things left there became encased in lime like stalagmites rather than turning literally into stone. Then he went and looked at some fish.
