Mr Monkey in Portsmouth, 31st August

"It's not actually exploding, is it?"

When the train got to Wooton it ran out of track and had to stop. Mr Monkey jumped out and watched the engine - an Austerity 0-6-0 called Waggoner - being uncoupled and taken to the other end of the train for the journey back to Ryde. This involved letting a lot steam out of the braking system. Mr Monkey left the station and went to find Carol's brother's house, where he spent most of the afternoon.
