Mr Monkey aboard HMS Warrior, 30th August

"It's not a short ship, you know"

Mr Monkey inspected the figurehead of HMS Warrior. It's not the original, though that did survive until 1963 despite once being left on the quarterdeck of the HMS Royal Oak when HMS Warrior had a problem in the steering department. Mr Monkey scampered 418 feet or 127 metres to look at the stern of the Warrior. The stern windows aren't connected to the captain's cabin, but were just put there to make an innovative ship look traditional.

You can read about the warship at the HMS Warrior website.
