Mr Monkey climbed two ladders and found himself in the fo'c'sle (which was the forecastle before it discovered apostrophes). This was where craftsmen such as the sailmaker and carpenter worked and slept. It's also home to two long range bow chaser cannon. These are falcons, firing a 2lb shot. Mr Monkey inspected the cannon, looked at bits of rigging stored around the place, and stepped out of the fo'c'sle on to the main deck.
