Mr Monkey in York Minster, 25th February

"It'll be brighter when it's all finished, I think"

After coming down from the tower Mr Monkey started his wander around the main body of the Minster in the North Quire Aisle, which was rather dark and full of monuments. When he got to the east end of the building he found out that one of the reasons the quire was dark was that the Great East Window has been completely covered while the east end of the building is being restored. As the window is roughly the same size as a tennis court, that's quite a lot of light to go missing. Mr Monkey was sort of expecting this, as he'd ascended the East Front in 2006.
