After his humans had a snack, Mr Monkey scampered along Waterloo Road towards the Imperial War Museum. On the way, he spotted a building that claimed to be The Royal Waterloo Hospital for Children and Women Supported by Voluntary Contributions even though it's one of the campuses of the Schiller International University now. A little further on he saw the church of St. John the Evangelist, which was consecrated in 1824 with a total construction cost of £20,000. It was gutted by a bomb in 1940 and didn't get its roof back until 1950.
You can read about the University at the Schiller International University website, the hospital at the Walk This Way website and about St. John's at the British History Online website.
