Mr Monkey was led along a long corridor along the side of the auditorium and came out in the Barbirolli Room. This is one of the rooms that can be hired for private functions; you can fit somewhere between 96 and 200 people in, depending on whether you let them sit down or not. And there are fine views of the canal basin below the hall, if the blinds are open,which they weren't. Mr Monkey got a view of the basin by peering from the bar area outside the Barbirolli Room.
