Mr Monkey started to investigate the exhibition. Items from the collection are grouped by the subjects Beginning of life, End of life, Understanding the body, Treating yourself, and Seeking help, each spanning numerous cultures and periods. Looking at the Treating Yourself case Mr Monkey admired the top hat worn by a figure that cured diseases by warding off evil spirits in the Nicobar Islands of the Bay of Bengal, and then examined a phrenological skull and a large model of a human eye in the Understanding the body display.
