Mr Monkey in Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, 4th October

"He doesn't look totally stable to me"

Mr Monkey looking at Physical Energy Mr Monkey in front of the Speke Monument

Mr Monkey trotted along the main path from the Albert Memorial to Lancaster Gate. He stopped to inspect George Frederick Watts's sculpture Physical Energy. The artist described it as "A symbol of that Physical impulse to seek the still unachieved", while Mr Monkey thought it was a statue of a man falling off a horse. A little further on Mr Monkey looked at the red granite monument to John Hanning Speke the explorer.
