Mr Monkey follows the Siege of Ostende historic walk, 14th September

"That's quite clever, you know"

The booklet suggested that Mr Monkey walk through the Leopoldpark to return to the start of the walk, which was on the way to his hotel anyway. Going through the park he was surprised to see some heads sticking out of the water, until he found that they were Allegorische koppen by Leo Copers. Further through the park he found a floral clock, which had the correct date as well as the right time. When he inspected it closely, he found that the date numbers are on big trays, so they can be changed when no-one is looking. And when Mr Monkey left the park and got back to the promenade, he'd finished his historic walk.
