Mr Monkey scurried through Stockport until he got to the market place. He ran along the street towards St Mary's church but stopped outside Staircase House. Mr Monkey didn't think the house looked like it had been built in 1460, but he knew that was because the frontage had been rebuilt in brick in 1801. Mr Monkey went in through the door marked Stockport Story, which is the right place to buy a ticket for Staircase House.
