Mr Monkey visits the Royal Pump Room museum, 21st July

"You could probably use that register if you needed an alibi"

Mr Monkey looking down on one of the original well-heads Mr Monkey examining the register of the Pump Rooms

Mr Monkey peered down into a small pit, to see a mannequin of one of the women who doled out the sulphurous water from the well-heads. These were below street level, so they were in the cellar when the Pump Rooms were built. Mr Monkey examined the Pump Room's register which listed everyone who drank at the Pump Room, giving their hotel, hometown, whether they had sulphur or magnesia water, and how much they paid.
