Mr Monkey visits Mini-Europe, 28th May

"Well, the Parthenon has been there since the 5th century BC"

Finally Mr Monkey arrived in Greece, the only country of the EU that doesn't have a border with another EU country*. He admired the the Parthenon even though it was showing its age and the effects of being accidentally blown up and having bits removed to fill up the British Museum. The last building Mr Monkey looked at was the Kourion Theatre on Cyprus, built by the Greeks in the 2nd century BC and enlarged by the Romans in the 2nd century AD.

* Not counting those that cheat by being islands, of course.
