Mr Monkey knew he'd arrived in the French section when he could see the feet of the Eiffel Tower as well as the top which had been showing up for some time. Even though it's in 1/25th scale, it's still 13 metres high. Mr Monkey scampered past the Arc de Triomphe to look at the roof of the basilica of the Sacre-Coeur. This enormous church was started after the Franco-Prussian war and finished just in time for the Great War, which wasn't the best possible timing.
