Mr Monkey caught the metro out to Merode, intent on visiting one of the museums in the Parc de Cinquantenaire. The train seemed rather crowded, and when Mr Monkey got to the Cinquantenaire he found that it was the starting point for the Brussels 20 kilometre race. He looked at the vast stocks of Spa water that were waiting for the 25,000 or so runners, and shuddered to see how many first aid tents the Belgian Red Cross thought might be necessary.
