Mr Monkey checked in at the Citadines St. Catherines hotel, and set out to enjoy Brussels. On the corner of the rue Antoine Dansaert and the rue de Vieux Marché aux Grains he stopped to admire the banana-based decoration of the building built in 1927 for the Gérard Koninckx Frères, a fruit importing company. A few moments later, he admired a metal tree at the end of the rue des Chartreux. It was put there in 1998, and was designed by Enzo Catellani of Catellani and Smith. It's supposed to light up at night.
You can read about numerous light-based projects at the Catellani and Smith website.
