Mr Monkey was let into the lift, the doors shut, and 41 seconds later he was on the observation deck, 520 feet above the ground. The very top of the needle is 650 feet high. Mr Monkey found a door and scurried out on to the external gallery. The air was a lot more mobile at height than it had been at ground level.
