Mr Monkey sees Ghosts of Winter Hill at Urbis, 3rd November

"That's possibly the most upsetting wallpaper I've seen for years"

Next Mr Monkey found out about Manchester-based music broadcasting, which included the very first edition of Top of the Pops (which took place in a converted church in Rusholme on New Years Day, 1964). Then he went to watch a selection of programmes made in Manchester in the 1960s, looking at them on a tiny portable black and white TV. Each decade has its output shown on a period TV, standing on a period table, in front of period wallpaper.
